Flutec PP2 is a fully-fluorinated, odourless, colourless liquid.
Flutec PP2 has the following characteristics:-
- Compatibility with most construction materials
- Non flammable
- Excellent chemical and thermal stability
- Practically non-toxic*
Flutec PP2 finds many application's as a fluid for use in the electronics
industries including for testing and cooling of sophisticated electronics
equipment, such as lasers and ion implanters.
Although Flutec PP2 is considered biologically and
chemically inert, good laboratory practice should be observed when
handling. Flutec PP2 has an indefinite shelf life if properly stored
in its original sealed container.
Material safety data sheet
Flutec PP2 is commercially available in quantities of 1kg and above.

* Note: The toxicity rating used is published by Gleason, M N Gosselin,
R E and Hodge, H C (Clinical Toxicology of Commercial Products, Baltimore
1963). 'Practically
Non-Toxic' is the lowest rating of toxicity and relates to
a lethal dose in man of more than 1 kg for a 70 kg (150 lb) man.
