Flutec PP10 is a fully-fluorinated, odourless, colourless liquid.
Flutec PP10 has the following characteristics:-
- Compatibility with most construction materials
- Non flammable
- Excellent chemical and thermal stability
- Practically non-toxic1
Flutec PP10 finds many applications as a fluid for use in the electronics
industries, including vapour phase soldering, condensation inert heating, fluid
for testing and direct contact cooling.
Although Flutec PP10 is considered biologically
and chemically inert, good laboratory practice should be observed
when handling. Flutec PP10 has an indefinite shelf life if properly
stored in its original sealed container.
Material safety data sheet
Flutec PP10 is commercially available in quantities of 1kg and above.

Note: The toxicity rating used is published by Gleason, M N Gosselin,
R E and Hodge, H C (Clinical Toxicology of Commercial Products, Baltimore
1963). ‘Practically
Non-Toxic1 is the lowest rating of toxicity and relates to
a lethal dose in man of more than 1Kg for a 70kg (150lb) man.
