The Flutec® PC Fluids range are a range of
high purity perfluorocarbons. They are lipophobic and hydrophobic forming
a third
phase which facilitates emulsion formulation. They have a high gas
dissolving ability, excellent toxicological profile and a variety of
other properties which make them a superb additive to cosmetic formulations.
PC6 (INCI Name - Perfluorodecalin) is a physical carrier of gases, notably Oxygen
and Carbon Dioxide and is used to solve cosmetic problems such as Carbon Dioxide
cleansing or Oxygen enrichment. Although PC6 has been the main material of choice
for most applications, it is just one of a range of products available to suit
specific requirements.
